The name given to the testing of electrical equipment has changed. The previously known PAT testing will now be known as EET (Electrical Equipment Testing). By law all employees, landlords and even anyone who is self-employed is required to ensure their portable electrical appliances are safe and suitable for use. EET includes the testing and inspection of portable electrical equipment including heavy plant and fixed appliances up to 400v.
